Fonts in the News

This week I heard the story of a young girl with a learning disability who improved her reading comprehension by dancing the alphabet.  Out of that struggle was born the Ballet Font Project and Ligne, a ballet typeface made by using motion detection.  The story is interesting and the font is free to download.

In a week when a major sports franchise owner was vilified for his choice of font, it was extraordinary to think that fonts ever get this much attention.

I heard about Ligne from an InDesign Magazine tweet.  Thanks, guys!
