It is springtime and a holiday, and it seems that my thoughts have turned to food. The website Delish often creates slideshows with food themes, and the latest entry is the Top 10 Most Unusual State Fair Foods.
Along with fried Twinkies, which I had heard of before, there were a number of food items which I had not: chicken fried bacon, beef sundae, and spaghetti and meatballs on a stick. Seriously, these foods should probably not be eaten, and I cannot accept any responsibility for having shown them to you.
But on the other hand … how much fun is it to imagine the pizza cone and fried Coca-Cola? I laughed and my stomach rumbled, so I guess that counts as extraordinary for today.
